Prestolith® HaftReparatur Box 600412. presto Reparaturbox is a repair pack containing unsaturated, elasticized polyester resin, hardener as well as glass fiber fleece and glass fiber fabric. For bridging larger holes, rust-through and damaged areas in metal, wood, concrete, etc. Very well usable in mold and model making, in the garden (spray ponds) and in other industrial areas. Applicable e.g. for leaking pipes and tubes, boilers, boats, etc.

Application

1. The damaged area should be derusted, clean, dry, free of grease and sanded.
2. Cut the enclosed glass fiber fabric to size according to the size of the damaged area so that there is still sufficient overlapping edge.
3. Take the required quantity of material from the package, mix well with the appropriate quantity of hardener and apply in one operation as follows:
4. Coat the pre-treated surface with resin and apply the cut glass fiber material.
5. Press down evenly with a brush, starting at the edge, and soak again with polyester resin. Glass fiber must not have any air pockets.
6. As the last layer, glass fiber fleece should be applied and dabbed over, as a suitable surface for subsequent buildups. It is possible to build up the surface in several layers.
7. If the surface is to be painted, further treatment with presto Füllspachtel or presto Feinspachtel is recommended. The sticky surface of polyester resin functions as an optimum adhesion promoter. However, this can also be washed off with nitro thinner if desired.
8. Clean tools immediately after use, wash off with Nitro Thinner if necessary.
9. Do not return mixed material to the can.
10. After approx. 40 minutes, the repaired surface can be drilled, sanded, sawed, filed and painted.
